Heart drop play on the word teardrop.

The heart is over the word "drop"...

I added this explanation. Dawned on me it might be a little too subconscious vs. visible when you see it.

The women's faces are from my watercolors, black and white copies.

The rest, mixied media from magazine pictures, scraps of this and that.

The faces look rahter defensive. Perhaps love has to subvert the existing order?

I decided to lower my standards and post, even though these are wip and practice.

I love making collages, the whole 6 or so that I have done so far. It will be a blast when I gather stamps and collect my supplies all in one place.

For now I have to search for a pencil sharpener when I need one. I had a studio in a commercial frame shop earlier this year. Brought it all home, and have been shifting things around ever since.

Soon, I will be settled. Fall season always reminds me of new beginnings and happy times. This year is going to be another one to reinforce these positive endorphins that start pumping automatically every autumn.

Thanks for the encouragement and inquiry about why no new work recently. That was what gave me the boost to go ahead and submit something.

My future roommate just dropped by, and she loves th green I chose to paint her room. The room is currently my biggest wip. She told me green was her favorite color. As I'm sure you know, there is an endless number of "green" and they can be vastly different. She said "earthy green". Happily, I did understand correctly what she was asking for, and I like it too. I think it is even named rock moss. Deep, rich pigment and soothing at the same time.

I've even already got my Christmas tree set up in my garage, preparing to get a jump on the holidays. It is going to be a party season in 2009, I can feel it.

Really? That makes me happy. I wasn't feeling finished, or like I wanted to show them, but got antsy to submit something.

I feel peacefulness and gentle dignity in the faces of the women. Glad you see that too.

Thinking about you and that tutorial. Like I said to you somewhere in here earlier, you are putting a lot of work into this project! Your art form itself, and taking the effort to explain. That is a big gift to make for people.

I pray you enjoy it, and that over time many will find it and connect with you.

If you get a chance, tell Tim I was serious. I am praying for him, along with your family too.

I have on my keychain a little saying, "get on your kness and pray like a man"...most important work I do!

I love to watch for the answers too, so I can be grateful. Deepens my love for the one who listens and sends surprising and wonderful answers.

I will tell Tim... He's such a sweet pastor. Here's a link to hear some messages from my church...some are Tim and some are Chris ..they are both great preachers! I love my local church  [link]
I thought if you heard his voice and his heart you would connect with him while praying...

Thank you! I love to know you are praying and to be encouraged by you!

love you!

I've always wanted o do something like this...
I love the sheep ^__^

Wouldn't it be ironic if someone were to choke and die on a life savor?
:iconmelanierogers:
You saw the sheep. Cool.

:iconhappyfellaavatar:

I've made very few so far. I always wanted to to them too. I thought the ones I've done were just terrible, but look...some people like them.

I have a lot to learn, but gotta just start.

Make some! It is going to get really fun, once I am organized and have proper supplies in one place. Right now I have to hunt for an eraser or pencil sharpener. I'm rearranging my whole house, like just moving in, only harder. :faint:

But so worth it in the end. Sorry if I've already said stuff about that to you. I may be redundant. I forget what I've said to who right now.

mel :iconsheepplz: suppose to be a sheep?
