You Are Mine

A page from my new MOLESKINE journal, for Fathers Day. [USA] Just a fun day making collages with friends at my kitchen table. It is a busy blast to the eyes but, it tells a long story. This tells the story of a promise God made to me when I was 19. [A few years ago]
Back then, I had my first of what I call "a retreat of silence" and this Bible verse was almost audible to me.

...He who created you...He who formed you...says:
Fear not, for I have redeemed you: I have summoned you by name;

YOU ARE MINE...

When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you.

When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze. For I am the Lord your God ,,,

Since you are precious and honored in my sight, and because I love you...

Do not be afraid, for I am with you.

~ I have been through those things and full circle now. I am the little princess, seated on her mosaic throne. The throne was made from the broken pieces of dreams she once had.

Everything is so much better than I could have ever imagined or hoped for. My heart is able to laugh like this little girl. I have joy I cannot explain. The circumstances of my life could have been compared to fire and raging rivers. But He was there. He is there.

Thought this was a good one for Father's Day. 6/20/2010

I hope to get the opposite page of my Moleskine journal, that goes with it, posted in the next day or so. It expands more on what is in my heart. I love my new journal.

~ HAPPY FATHER'S DAY dA ~

Maybe you don't have an earthly Father today to be happy about.
But there is a Cosmic One who invites us to call Him "Daddy" --
